President of Europe's largest and the world's third largest pharmaceutical company Sanofi-aventis recently expressed in Shanghai the company's commitment to faster expansion in the China market. He expected the company's presence in China to grow by 2 to 3 folds over the course of next four to five years.

He also said Sanofi-aventis will explore the China market by aligning its local R&D resources and by building an excellent clinic research team. It will launch new and tailored drugs in different Chinese localities in view of the local demand and scale up vaccine production and market penetration in China at lower costs.
