Park-Ohio Holdings Corp, a US-based industrial
supply chain logistics firm, vowed to help Shanghai, China's
largest metropolis, to build a modern logistics industry
in Shanghai Thursday.
Park-Ohio's chief executive officer, Edward
Crawford, met with Zhou Yupeng, vice mayor of Shanghai,
here last Thursday. The aim of his current visit to Shanghai
is get a better understanding of Shanghai's economic growth
so as to make a plan on future cooperation with China.
Shanghai is in the forefront of China's
economic development. Park-Ohio is ready to assist Shanghai
in building a modern logistics industry by sharing its management
expertise and experience, Crawford said.
Vice-Mayor Zhou said Shanghai had listed
the logistics industry as the priority in the city's development.
In the wake of closer economic links between Shanghai and
other cities at the Yangtze River Delta, the industrial
supply chain will play a bigger role in the region. He said
he welcomes Park-Ohio to expand business in Shanghai.
