UK's Trinity Asia Limited and its wholly-owned Beijing Shisheng Weiye S-BCT bionic tyre(China) project center recently announced in Beijing that BCT 2nd-generation tyres, which are used in high and middle-end cars, would be made in Beijing's Souchuang Tyre Company.

Statistics show as most tyre makers complete their expansion of production in 2005, a relatively huge production increment will come into being.

China produced 5.0705 million cars in 2004 and is expected to produce around 5.6 million in this year. This means the market demand for auto tyres will only increase by 2.5 to 3 million, far less than the increase in tyre production. Industry analysts reckon tyre stocks in the three types of foreign invested enterprises already increased by 43.05% to near saturation.

So far, 9 out of the world's top 10 tyre companies with the exception of Germany's Continental Company have all made their way to invest in China.
