Zhengzhou
City, capital of central China's Henan Province, signed
here Saturday 11 economic and trade cooperation contracts
with Hong Kong companies for introducing about 300 billion
US dollars of investment.
So far, the city has signed 23 cooperation contracts with
HK companies which are to introduce nearly 519 million US
dollars investment from Hong Kong. The cooperation contracts
cover infrastructure, high and new technology, property,
food processing and projects of other fields.
Huang Xinlei,
vice mayor of Zhengzhou City said at the contract signing
ceremony Saturday that apart from the contracted projects,
the city has signed 20 other letters of intent with Hong
Kong businessmen for a wide range of cooperation projects.
He believed
that Zhengzhou has great prospect for cooperation with Hong
Kong ventures.
Located at
the central part of China, Zhengzhou is an important national
hub for railway and highway communications which has three
state-level economic and high-tech development zones. The
city is one of Chinese mainland's eight ancient capitals
and has rich tourism resources as Shaolin Temple. Huang
said.
Huang also said the country's first grain futures market
was established in the city and the city welcomes financial
talents to work there and help build a regional financial
center.
