Brief Introduction: Zhejiang Zhenhai Economic Development Zone was set up in 1992
formally, and was approved to be provincial economic development zone by Zhejiang
Provincial Government in 1994. It lies on the coast of Donghai Sea, and on the
south bank of Hangzhou Bay. There are infrastructure facilities of ports, power
plant, airport, railway station, etc. being built in the area. There is a chemical
special port which is the biggest in China being built in Zhenhai Port. The development
zone has become the opening window to the outside world and the base for utilizing
foreign capitals in Zhenhai.
