Brief Introduction: Gedian Economic & Technological Development Zone was approved
to establish by Hubei Provincial Government in 1990. Hubei Hi-tech Development
Zone and China Ezhou Postdoctoral Researcher Base have been set up there. It is
22km away from Wuhan and in the middle part of Changjiang River. Yihuang Wujiu
Railway, Highway and No. 316 National Road cross the development zone. Baihushan
Foreign Trade Port lies in the west of the development, which makes shipment directly
to Hongkong, Japan, Southeast Asia. Ezhou Power Station and a water plant have
been built in the zone.
