Project of Raising Beef Cattle with Ammoniated Fodder

Project Content: Plan to build 100 cattle farms with 2,000 cattle sheds and 200 ammoniated cells in mountainous areas for raising 20,000 cattle.

Construction Condition: The locality has abundant resources of feeding materials, and is selected as a model county of ammoniated straws. Beef cattle enjoy a bright future.

Investment & Composition: Total investment amounts to US$ 3.5 million. Plan to introduce US$ 2 million of foreign investment.

Economic Benefit Evaluation: With 20,000 cattle per year, the annual output volume of US$ 4 million, net income can reach US$ 0.6 million, and investment payoff term of 4 years.

Project Status: Two towns have succeeded in raising oxen with ammoniated fodder, providing good perspective for large-scale cattle-raising with such materials.
