Project of processing Lotus Root and Water Chestnut

Project Content: The project aims at establishing a lotus root and water chestnut processing factory by using foreign capitals. It mainly produces the fresh-frozen lotus root, salinized lotus root, clear-water water chestnut and so on with capacity of 12000 tons yearly.

Construction Condition: The proposal site is in Nanda Development Zone, which is one of the biggest ten agricultural products markets of Hubei Province and has perfect basic facilities. The products enjoy a bright future of exporting. The locality has long history of planting lotus root and water chestnut.

Investment & Composition: Total investment amounts to US$ 4 million, of which, the fixed assets account for US$ 3 million and working capital for US$ 1 million. Plan to introduce US$ 3 million of foreign investment.

Economic Benefit Evaluation: Annual output volume of US$ 6.05 million, profit and tax of US$ 1.21 million, and investment payoff term of 5 years.

Project Status: The feasibility study has been finished.
